During 2011 Mounts Bay Pilot Gig Club created an exciting and innovative heritage project to offer local school children a unique chance to see at first hand the craft of gig building, and learn more about the history of this important and traditional vessel which led to the growing Cornish sport.

Equipment to develop processing for lavender essential oils and set up workshops as a diversification of existing business.

Grant aid investment towards the cost of new equipment to extend the usefulness of the garage mechanic workshop.

Bosavern Farm will take on a trainer/coordinator to help local people and groups come and work the farm.

Locla farmers in West Cornwall will monitor the growth and production methods of novel crops.  They will assess their capacity to develop these commercially and investigate the markets in collaboration and using the College.

The new allotment site required investment to put a sustainable water supply in place.

Hayle Area Plan Partnership is investing in the sustainable tourism branding and promotion for the area through web and printed media.

The heritage trust is working hard to determine a fruitful and creative new use for the building on site and particularly is looking for the sustainability and feasibility of performance and theatre.

Development promotion and coordination of local produce markets across West Cornwall with a view to improving the market for local rural traders and reducing food miles and awareness of local supply chains.

To create a local supply chain guidance leaflet to promote and develop rural traders and producers across the south Kerrier area.

The latest stage in the overall upgrade of this community venue for performance in the heart of south Kerrier in Helston town.  This stage will redesign the toilets, make accessible and upgrade storage and office space thereby allowing a much greater audience number.

To invest in expensive hire items to reduce the long term running costs of the market and to promote special market events with the aim of increasing footfall at the new venue.

To enable more people from the community in st just to get involved with a new activity includng the young people who are working on new blooms for the town.

To extend the involvement from young people in the village with the Sea Salts and Sails Festival in the Mousehole by exploring their maritime heritage and enable new creativity.

To extend and improve the faiclities in the village centre bowling club so that it can be useful for more people and more commnunity events.

The next phase of improvement at the Sancreed Village Hall to increase its usefulness and availability for community groups in the parish

The venue is vital for young people and their extension into new activities from the whole area around St Just.  This project will upgrade the centre buidling to reduce the energy bills and improve their sustainability.

This community group has re-established itself to run the pond for its environmental values but also to enable the community to continue its traditional model boat sailing and informal enjoyment of the area. 

To refurbish a room in the chapel to interpret, store and  present the heritage of the area.  This new community group has establsihed with the aim of presenting and collating their heritage and this project will support their own space for this heritage.

The RSPB are extending their school and young people engagement and education programmes, plus involving a wider range of community members and landowners in events celebrating the chough.  This iconic bird is recently re-established in the LAG area and this project extends this knowledge to the population.

To equip the Penwith Access & Rights of Way Forum to extend its volunteer base and to continue to develop its work with local groups and parishes in improving access to heritage and the landscape by the purchase of a bespoke landrover and equipment.

In recognition of the very high value of the heritage of the Hayle area and the community plan backing for the retention of heritage buildings this project will remove the 1960's flat roof and reinstate the glass lantern window above the atrium in the Hayle Passmore Edwards Institute.

The club has engaged local schools and young people in exporing the heritage

This project will improve the layout and interpretation of the heritage on the Geevor mine site which is an important community asset and visitor attraction for the area.

To establish a very high quality skills development opportunity for rural communities in far west cornwall to utilise based on the growing and harvesting of crops and the informal training and development of the people involved

The Penwith Radio digital station provides a valuable extension service for people furthest from the job market to gain new skills and informal confidence raising training in genuine and complex roles.  the project will extend this service to new people from the rural area and Penzance.
